Dee C. MarshallWIN – ROCK – RULE Women’s Empowerment Speaker and Leader

Dee C. Marshall assists Fortune 500 organizations and individuals avoid problems from morphing into ghastly professional and personal landmines. She is an author, leadership trainer, a certified coach and a TV Lifestyle expert, who has lent her expertise, her think-tank to high-ranking movers and shakers on Wall Street, Capitol Hill, and the White House. While Marshall is a spiritual growth and personal development coach, what she does is akin to Olivia Pope from the TV drama “Scandal.” Not because she cleans up messes, but works with her clients to avoid them in the first place.

Instead of crisis management, Marshall is all about crisis prevention for her executive level clients on a spiritual and emotional mode. “I’ve had a client working on a major merger and acquisition but she had serious relationship problems at home – an impending divorce. Another who was elevated in a highly visible role, but had just lost a sibling and not given time to grieve,” says Marshall, “the goal is to strategize, take off the superhero cape, and devise ways to avoid overextending oneself which can lead to serious illnesses and poor decisions.”

Marshall began her career as a leadership development expert and a soft-skill trainer for Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities, and she managed a third of the ad sales training for The New York Times. Marshall has her own company now, deecmarshall.com, serving Fortune 10 and Fortune 500 companies like Amway, Cocoa Cola, Enterprise Holdings, and RWJ Barnabas. She is certified by Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and credentialed by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Marshall contributes with media publishers Essence and Black Enterprise magazines, has a faith-based prayer group with more than 100,000 women who pray and uplift named girlfriendspray.org and champions women further with professional empowerment conferences, “to teach women to own their light; to empowers women to understand that they are brilliant, beautiful, fierce, and intelligent.”

Marshall’s Win, Rock, Rule Conference takes place Wednesday evening, March 28 in Newark, NJ and has dynamic speakers and cultural influencers on tap like Mita Mallic, Head of Diversity at Unilever; Alencia Johnson, Director of Communications for Planned Parenthood Federation; and Janaye Ingram, Director of National Partnerships for AirBNB.

The theme of the Win, Rock, Rule conference is: All Rise. “It’s tantamount to when a judge walks in a room and commands it,” Marshall says. “The judge holds authority; it’s meaningful. My intention is for women to feel and create power within themselves whether it is for their careers, a cause, or cultural.”
